Café Volunteer

Location: Brent Cross Town

Eligibility: Barnet residents only
Organisation: Our Yard

Our Yard is seeking friendly and enthusiastic Café Volunteers to support the day-to-day running of our community café.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to help create a welcoming community space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful service

  • Assist with serving food and drinks

  • Clear tables and help keep the café clean and tidy

  • Support basic food preparation and kitchen tasks where appropriate

  • Assist with café opening, closing and daily operations

  • Work as part of a team to create a positive customer experience

What We're Looking For

  • Friendly and approachable manner

  • Good communication skills

  • Reliable and willing to help

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Previous hospitality experience is welcome but not essential
